Wright Rohde Academy of Performing Arts (WRAPA) is a safe space to be brave, learn and excel in the arts.
In 2018, two individual studios began with a shared passion for helping performers find their voice.
Natalie Wright opened Wright Performance, a speech and drama studio, while Elise Rohde established Rohde To Stage, a vocal studio. Although they began separately, it quickly became clear that their visions for performing arts education had much in common.
In 2020, Natalie and Elise joined forces to create Wright Rohde Theatre — a safe, supportive and inspiring space where motivated performers could develop their skills, discover new ones and explore all areas of the dramatic and musical arts.
What started as two small studios continued to grow. By 2024, with a team of four, a new home and exciting plans for the future, Wright Rohde Theatre entered its next chapter and became Wright Rohde Academy of Performing Arts (WRAPA).
Today, WRAPA is a dedicated training ground for performers of all ages. Through weekly lessons, workshops, productions, examinations and performance opportunities, our students are encouraged to develop their craft, build confidence and work towards their individual goals.
But for us, performing arts education is about more than what happens in the classroom.
It’s about creating a place where young people feel they belong. Where friendships are formed, confidence grows, creativity is celebrated and students are encouraged to challenge themselves. It’s about giving performers the skills, knowledge and opportunities to discover just how much they are capable of.
We are constantly evolving to meet the needs of our students and families, seeking out new opportunities to learn, extend and succeed — while staying true to the values at the heart of everything we do: Inclusivity, Passion, Respect and Professionalism.
We want WRAPA to be somewhere our students are excited to come to each week. A place where passion and dedication thrive, where hard work is celebrated, and where every performer is supported to pursue their goals.
WRAPA is more than an after-school activity. It’s a community, a training ground and a place to grow.
And when you become part of WRAPA, you don’t just gain teachers and mentors.
