The Gathering Place is a nonprofit, peer-run recovery center serving adults ages 18 and older who are living with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring challenges. Our services are grounded in lived experience and delivered by trained peers who understand recovery firsthand.
We offer free, voluntary support services including one-on-one peer support, group support for both mental health and substance use recovery, life skills programming, educational classes and groups, resource navigation, and advocacy efforts aimed at reducing stigma and increasing access to care. All services are provided at no cost.
The Gathering Place is committed to equity, dignity, and respect. We believe everyone deserves equal access to mental health and substance use treatment and the opportunity to pursue recovery in a way that feels right for them. We intentionally foster a safe, judgment-free, and stigma-free environment where individuals, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community, are welcomed, affirmed, and supported.
As a peer-led community, we emphasize belonging and connection. People are not required to be “at any stage” of recovery to access our space, only to show up as they are. At The Gathering Place, individuals can find understanding, acceptance, and a supportive community where they are seen, valued, and not alone.
