PFLAG Jersey Shore provides support, education, and advocacy on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community and their families. We host social support meetings for LGBTQ+ children and teens, and adult support meetings for LGBTQ+ people, their families, and people who are an ally to the community. These meetings are held virtually and in-person in a comforting, confidential, and non-judgmental  environment and use a peer-to-peer support model to support you wherever you may be in your journey.

We help countless parents struggling to accept their child after they come out as gay, LGBTQ teens harassed in school because of their sexuality, transgender people struggling with their transitioning process, and LGBTQ individuals and their loved ones in many other situations.

PFLAG Jersey Shore also sponsors a number of other special events throughout the year. Past events have included panel discussions for parents of LGBTQ+ youth at local libraries, involvement in LGBTQ+ awareness training seminars for schools and workplaces, sponsorship of social and cultural events like LGBTQ youth dances, resource tables at community events, and much more.
