Gay owned and operated, Northern Solstice Alpaca Farm located in Unity, Maine. We have been offering free farm tours since 2006. Our farm provides and inclusive and welcoming environment as well as an education center for those wanting to learn more about raising alpacas, we have a very experienced staff on hand every day ready to provide tours geared to the interest of the individual or group. Alpaca tours can range from 10-45 minutes. Alpacas are very social, yet shy and enjoy meeting our farm visitors. They are not fond of being touched but very much enjoy the attention of our farm visitors and of course having their pictures taken. Bring along a picnic and enjoy alpaca watching while you sit at our pasture side picnic tables. Enjoy shopping in our on farm gift shop filled with alpaca yarn, clothing and gifts. It's a wonderful experience for all ages. Wheel chair and walker friendly. Please leave your dogs at home as the alpacas are easily frightened by them.
