MOTAT (Museum of Transport and Technology)

MOTAT is a museum that welcomes everyone no matter their gender or sexuality. We provide a safe space for our Rainbow Community and support this wholeheartedly.

One of our core values is, ‘PĀTAITAI / THE WAY WE THINK: We will be bold and provide thought leadership that provokes a positive transformative impact on our community.’ This follows through into the MOTAT Team and our visitor experience. We truly encourage and champion diversity, inclusion, and expressing the identity that is true to you.

Senior Leadership supports the Rainbow MOTAT committee which is a LGBTQIA+ group made up of Rainbow people and their allies. We are constantly improving and expanding MOTAT’s support system for queer visitors and team members through events, education, resources, processes, and policies.
