Last Hope Refugee Association (LHRA) is a refugee-led, community-based organization founded to support and advocate for LGBTQ+ refugees and asylum seekers in Uganda. Our mission is to provide safety, dignity, and hope to those who have fled persecution based on their sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.
We offer emergency support, shelter, food, psychosocial assistance, and community integration programs to LGBTQ+ refugees facing homelessness, violence, and social exclusion. LHRA also engages in advocacy, awareness-raising, and partnerships to amplify the voices of LGBTQ+ refugees and ensure their rights and wellbeing are recognized.
At its core, LHRA is committed to building a safe and inclusive community where LGBTQ+ refugees can heal, thrive, and rebuild their lives free from fear and discrimination.
