LA Pride is the second largest Pride celebration in the United States. Since forming in 1970 to commemorate the Stonewall uprising the year before, LA Pride has a 50+ year history of creating safe and inclusive spaces for the LGBTQ+ community. LA Pride is produced by Christopher Street West Association, a 501(c)3 nonprofit with an all-volunteer, working Board of Directors that represents the gay, lesbian, Black, Latinx, and trans communities. This dedicated group of activists brings a wealth of diverse backgrounds, experiences, expertise, and perspectives to LA Pride's annual celebration, and its year-round programs, scholarships, and support of other nonprofits.
