    Description

Kluge-Ruhe is the only museum of its kind in the United States: the nation’s top-notch collection of Indigenous Australian art. It is the world’s oldest continuous art tradition, more than 60,000 years in the making, but the artwork is also diverse, sophisticated, dynamic, and contemporary. While the space is on the smaller side, exhibitions change constantly and the museum works closely with Indigenous artists, making the experience even richer. Situated nearish to Monticello with a beautiful backyard view of the city and a one-of-a-kind gift shop.

As a museum devoted completely to the art and culture of Indigenous people, one of our central values is prioritising Indigenous voices and creating a safe place for everyone to learn about our shared humanity and diversity.
