HEVİ LGBTI+ is an initiative that emerged in 2013, bringing together activists from diverse identities. HEVİ firmly believes in the necessity of approaching LGBTI+ policies within a comprehensive political context. HEVİ LGBTI+ takes the interconnections of class, ethnicity, gender, migration, refugee rights, as well as human and environmental liberties into consideration equally while working in a scope of LGBTI+ rights. These aspects are considered inseparable components within the framework of LGBTI+ policies. Therefore, ever since we have emerged as an association we are monitoring cases concerning the rights and accessibility of LGBTI+ individuals in the realms of gender, sexual orientation, and gender identity. We aim to catch public attention to the unequal and unjust discourses and actions targeting LGBTI+ community to formulate policies to prevent discrimination and violence. Furthermore, we also organize campaigns to monitor the cases of crimes committed against the LGBTI+ community, aiming to prevent these cases from resulting in unjust decisions within a discriminatory and exclusionary political atmosphere.
