Center on Halsted

Center on Halsted advances community and secures the health and well-being of the LGBTQ+ people of Chicagoland throughout the Midwest. Our vision is a thriving lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer community, living powerfully in supportive inclusive environments.

The Center offers programs in behavioral health, HIV/STI resources and prevention, for youth and seniors, as well as educational and employment resources. Our events focus on bringing people together, whether it's for support groups, showcasing queer art and culture, or sharing free hot meals with other community members. We strive to cultivate our presence as a third space, where everyone can feel safe and connected.
