Canis Counselling is a psychological practice offering in-person and virtual therapy to children, teens, and adults of all life stages– individually and for families across Alberta. Focused on providing a safe, inclusive environment for people where they can feel seen without being judged, it is also important to me that my clients come away from therapy with an experience that is both constructive in attending to their goals, but that is also positive.
I am a generalist with a broad range of experience supporting clients through many mental health, stress, and life transition related concerns of varying complexities. If you would like to know more about what areas I have experience supporting people with, you can learn more on my website here.
As a therapist, I follow a person-centred approach, and apply integrative practices to collaborate with, and develop, treatment plans with my clients that best suit their individual needs. I enjoy being able to draw from evidence-based therapeutic interventions that support people in meeting their goals. My work also draws from a neuro-affirmative and identify-affirming perspective. My hope always is to empower my clients in building upon the skills that complement their existing strengths. In working with my clients to learn adaptive tools they can then add to their skillset– while also gaining additional insight and self awareness– we are able to open up opportunities that can drive lasting success and positive change in meaningful ways for many client's lives.
