Reigning Cats & Dogs is a woman-owned and operated pet-themed specialty boutique located on East Davis Street in the beautiful downtown Culpeper, Va. We feature Carefully Curated Treasures for People and Pets. The Store focuses on providing eco-friendly and globally responsible products that make a big impact on the heart and mind, while minimizing the carbon paw print. We've been established for almost 20 years, with an emphasis of creating a welcoming and safe place for ALL people to shop. A large portion of our merchandise is around LGBTQ+ awareness: pride flags, pronoun pins, identity booklets, merch and art created by LGBTQ+ artists and entrepreneurs. We are also sponsoring and being a vendor at Culpeper, Va's first ever Pride, going on June 4th, 2023. Here, we believe hate has no home. Black lives matter. No human is illegal. Women's Rights are human rights. Every book worth being banned is a book worth reading.

Monica Chernin, owner and operator is firstly a Lawyer and activist. She is passionate about changing the dialogue and creating a place that welcomes everyone- something that is not easy to do in small towns like Culpeper. She wanted to make a change, as a mother of a member of the LGBTQ+ community and as a passionate advocate for human rights.  I, Lindsey Clatterbuck am a member of the LGBTQ+ community and it has been a passion of mine to create a welcoming and loving space- something I did not experience in my town growing up.

We have been blown away by the support in the community, but nothing heals more than watching people of all backgrounds and identities come in to the shop and they can instantly relax, knowing that just by entering into the shop, they will be treated with respect and dignity. We are PROUD to serve all!
