Off Beat Therapy exists to provide anti-oppressive, affirmative counselling to those who feel uncomfortable or unwelcome at other therapy services. It's run by me, Josiah, a queer/trans counsellor based in Farnham, Surrey, UK (seeing clients in-person or online).
I work with many different kinds of clients. My particular focus is being able to discuss, with cultural fluency, the ways any issues you're facing are compounded by race, culture, religion, gender, sexuality, size, age, disability, class, socioeconomic status and/or 'otherness'. I also specialise in working with drag performers and other creatives, older trans people, and 'later life'/'post-transition' issues.
I work from the Off Beat Community Hub in Farnham - a sanctuary of queer joy and soft lighting. The space is available to rent by other counsellors, home workers, or small, quiet community groups/meetings. Please note that I keep the address private for security reasons until I have met clients online. The room is a 10-15 minute walk from Farnham station.
