    Description

Welcome to Stardome, the coolest little observatory this side of Neptune. Located in Cornwall Park, Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland, Aotearoa. Sharing our love and mātauranga of all things space since 1967. We are a not-for-profit, and our aim is to educate and entertain.

View films and presenter-led shows in Stardome's 360-degree indoor dome planetarium with comfortable, reclined seats. Stardome offers a range of educational and fun films to suit all ages including sci-fi evenings! School visits can get hands-on with exciting science experiments, outdoor rockets, and foyer displays, including Lego spacecraft.

When Covid restrictions allow there is evening telescope viewing in the courtyard, and bookings will be also available for the magnificent Zeiss telescope in its dome that opens to the sky. Stardome is open in all weather, daytime and evenings.
