Nathan Homestead is Manurewa's community arts and events centre. The historic homestead was built in 1925 by the Nathan family. It is situated on nine acres of exquisite lawn and gardens and has been kept in its original state and is a unique setting for all types of activities, events, and occasions. The gardens and bush areas are a treasured an excellent outdoor venue for activities such as team building, group activities, and a relaxing morning or afternoon tea on the lawn. Our walled garden and croquet lawn provide a perfect setting for outdoor weddings, with the immaculately kept gardens providing a beautiful backdrop for that special photo shoot.
Nathan Homestead has a busy programme of concerts, arts classes, and workshops for adults and youth throughout the year. The gallery on the first floor features an exhibitions programme of local, regional, and international artists throughout the year and pop-up exhibitions often feature in the ground floor exhibition spaces and in the park.
Butler's Pantry is a locally owned and run cafe serving a seasonal breakfast and lunch menu with treats and delicious coffees, perfect for a picnic in the garden.
